Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about trials, licensing, installation and using Production Player PRO on a school network.
Is the licence a subscription?
No. The School Site Licence Launch Offer is a one-off payment for Production Player PRO Version 1.
Can we try it before purchasing?
Yes. Download the complete 14-day trial without entering card details.
Does it work in secondary schools?
Yes. Groups are customisable, so they can represent Year 7, GCSE Drama, Sixth Form, Choir, Drama Club or any department.
Does the cue player work offline?
Saved productions and local audio playback work on the computer. Internet access is needed for QR Remote cloud pairing, licence services and software updates.
Can we pay by invoice or purchase order?
Yes. Use the invoice request page to submit your school and purchasing details.
Which audio files can I use?
Production Player PRO is designed primarily for MP3 audio cues, songs and sound effects.
Can several productions be stored?
Yes. You can create unlimited groups and productions, each with separate songs, notes and artwork.
Will our work disappear when the trial ends?
No. Your saved productions remain on the computer and become available again after activation.
Why does Windows or Mac show a security warning?
The current release is not yet digitally code-signed. School IT may need to approve it before installation on managed computers.
How does the QR Remote connect?
The app and remote page use secure HTTPS and WebSocket connections. The school network may need to allow the Production Player PRO cloud hostname.
